Anime Revolution 2012 - Special Guests

There were a couple guests which we were very excited to meet in person, one of which is none other than the legendary Nakata Jouji who we had a chance to interview featured in a separate post, and someone who's had an impact on my childhood via television, Sugar Lyn Beard.



Nakata Jouji is a Japanese voice actor most well known for voicing Giroro of Keroro Gunsou, Alucard in Hellsing, Hody Jones in One Piece, Baki in Naruto, and Kotomine Kirei in Fate/stay night and Fate/Zero. His great charisma and powerful voice leave nothing left to be desired in his roles, usually as villains. It was an absolute pleasure being able to meet him and sit down with him for an interview, covered in our exclusive interview post.

Terri Hawkes, Sugar Lyn Beard, and Ron Rubin, three voice actors with significant roles in the English dub of Sailor Moon were also present at Anime Revolution. Sugar stood out to me the most, simply due to the fact that she was the host of Canadian youth television channel YTV from 2001 to 2007. I still remember watching her on TV as a child, so meeting her in reality was definitely brought excitement as well as nostalgia for me. Sailor Moon was one of the first shows I watched while growing up, and even though I watched the original Japanese version, I still felt a connection to these three talented and influential individuals.
